A prefabricated building is normally fabricated at fabrication shops and transported and erected at site. These are suitable for multi storey commercial buildings, Ware houses, Auditoriums and Convention centres.
Normally pre-engineered building is an assembly of I-shaped members that are usually formed by welding together steel plates to form the I section. The I beams are then assembled at site to form the entire frame of the pre-engineered building.
Usually Cold formed Z and C members are used as secondary structural elements to fasten and support the external cladding.
